Margaret river naturopath

Hi, I’m Claire

I grew up in the Margaret River region, enjoyed the incredible natural environment, explored a variety of career directions and reveled in the mothering of four daughters.

I reached a crossroads when I chose a total hysterectomy to deal with my health issues, my girls started to leave home and I felt I was facing an uncertain future.

So at the age of 47, I went back to study. Naturopathy appealed, as I had used natural medicine for my family for 20 years and knew the benefits - now I wanted the history and the science behind it!

Today, I revel in the work of helping people as you strive for well-being - to be your best self in body, mind & spirit.

I truly love being at the age where the wisdom of experience can be expressed and utilised. I also love to blend science with tradition, the evidence with the WOO!

My own journey through perimenopause and menopause was not as i expected, which gave me an insight into how truly individual the experience can be, and how important it is to be holistic and investigative, and to be committed to driving your own health outcomes! Trends & fads in the natural medicine world are plentiful and often exciting, but before jumping on board (or off), let’s take the time to investigate how an approach, product or treatment will work for YOU.

An understanding of the menopause stage of life and my personal experience of vulnerability, family illness, loss and grief is what drives my compassion and empathy. Having a wide range of life experiences and being a long-time capes resident helps me feel grounded, secure & confident that I have something to offer you.

I take advantage of the melding of traditional uses of medicine as well as the evidence-based approach - science and woo!

Being an open-minded, open-hearted extrovert, I have spent my life seeking connection and community with others. Since graduating, I have helped people work on their health goals for a range of digestive, hormonal, immune and emotional issues - with food, nutritional and herbal medicines, exercise, sleep and personal development. For me this is connection and community at its most satisfying. It is also truly humbling…
